But unlike their male counterparts, they don’t treat professional athletes with the same god like status that boys do. What they do get excited about is celebrity culture. So what happens when you combine a throng of paparazzi, some amazing athletic stunts, and a rising star like Gossip Girl’s Taylor Momsen? You get a viral video that commanded nearly 300,000 views in a week, picked up by hundreds of sites - even several TV networks - and commented all over the blogosphere. Even with a bare minimum of Nike branding, girls instantly recognized that their favorite star had turned sporty.
