Where is the Bathroom?

A typical apartment with only one thing missing helps reflect on the impact of lack of access to basic sanitation.

In Latin America, more than 89 million people don’t have access to basic sanitation, which translates to increased disease and lower quality of life. With statistics so high and a problem so unimaginable, we thought the best way of raising awareness was getting people to experience it. We created “Where is the bathroom?”, a fully equipped apartment for sale, that had only one thing missing. With a simple question we invited people to reflect about the impact of not having something that we mostly take for granted, while promoting Kimberly-Clark’s “Toilets Change Lives” initiative, through which they have impacted 5 million people regionally.
